OPP Update: September 2018

Good afternoon blog readers!

As you can see, today is my birthday.  I am blessed to have spent 51 wonderful years on this earth.  My birthday wish is to enjoy a quiet, peaceful and prosperous life, which means that I have the freedom to do what I want, when I want and where I want.  Currently, I am working toward that goal.  In the meantime, I have to sacrifice my time for money, which is about 50-60  hours per week.  Fortunately for me, I don't have to leave my home to make money, but I am not yet totally free.  

Nevertheless, the month of August was a busy one for me.  I have completed my training for the StubHub customer service position with Working Solutions, and on August 13, I started production.  From that day on, I have been working anywhere from at least 6 hours to as many as 11 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This Friday, which is September 14, I will receive my first full pay, and it is going to be a bundle (my regular pay, weekend bonuses and my final stipend from training).  Finally, my summer of turmoil will come to an end!  

With a full pay, now I will be able to resume my Facebook advertising for my email campaign.  During the down time, I have been promoting my campaign through traffic exchanges and safelists, with very little results (only one true subscriber).  With my Facebook advertising, I can start promoting to a more targeted audience.  Soon, I hope to get new subscribers and also sales.  

I have also continued my education with the Bitcoin Wealth Club.  Now that I'm working again, I can resume with contributing a small amount per pay to build my bitcoin wallet, and to eventually learn to buy and trade other crytocurrencies with bitcoins.

My mind has been spinning since I've started working again.  All summer, I have been grounded, because of a lack of funds.  Now I feel rejuvenated, because I have so many ideas as to how I plan to raise at least $15k and to eventually move back into my own place. 

I won't be doing anything special for my birthday today, because I will start work at 3 pm today.  My hopes are, that on my 52nd birthday, I will be financially free, and I can do whatever I want on my special day.

OPP Update: August 2018

Good afternoon blog readers and Happy August!

We are now into the last full month of the summer, which means the start of the NFL football season is right around the corner.  This time of year, the National Football League enshrines former football players into the NFL Hall of Fame.  This year, the NFL will enshrine Ray Lewis, one of 8 former players.  Even though I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan, I always like Ray's work ethic on the gridiron as well as the sidelines, where he demonstrated his leadership.

If you follow my blog, you noticed that I did not provide an OPP Update last month, and there's a reason for that.  Two months ago, I was released from my Staples job a month earlier than anticipated, which meant that I would not have any steady income until mid August.  After receiving my last deposit on June 15, that would be it.  It was impervious for me to find another job.  

Fortunately, at the end of June, I did find a position through Upwork, which was a job providing email, chat and Facebook support for a small car cleaning company.  Things were looking up going into the month of July.  Unfortunately, I was released from this company only a week after I was hired.  They told me that I was not a good fit for their company.  I was shocked!  So shocked, that I was in no mood to write a blog posting last month.  Even though I started training for my new StubHub position with Working Solutions in late June, I was again without a steady income.  

As of today, I was not able to land a job with a second company, so I have been struggling with the little money I had left in my bank accounts.  Fortunately, we did get paid a stipend for training in July, in which I was able to pay my car note.  However, my other bills (auto insurance, cellphone, storage fees) remain unpaid.  The good news is, my StubHub training is nearly complete, and in the week starting August 13, I am scheduled to work 54 hours, so I will be back on the horse, sort to speak.

Normally, I like to work 2 customer service positions.  Earlier this week, I did receive an email from another company, Concentrix, about receiving a final interview, which is scheduled for this coming Tuesday.  Unlike Working Solutions, I would actually be an employee with Concentrix, which is cool.  If I get the Concentrix position, I will have 2 sources of Customer Service income.  

The month of June was good for my internet marketing business, because I finally put together my email campaign, and now it is live.  Unfortunately, to this day, I have yet to earn a single subscriber, even though I've had over 8500 visitors to my website, which contains my signup page.  I'm not totally surprised, because for the time being, I have to rely on free traffic sources (safelists and traffic exchanges) to get the word out about my business.  I also have a Facebook page, but the viewership is low at this point.  Before I lost my Produxa job, I did set up a Facebook ad to promote my website that contains a signup page for my new email campaign.  However, I did not receive any subscribers, because the signup form was missing on the mobile version of my website, so I may have lost a few potential subscribers (that issue has been fixed).  Once I start earning a steady income, I will resume promoting my website by paying for Facebook advertising.  

To this day, I am still waiting to receive my first Clickbank sale.  One way that I plan to start receiving more targeted traffic to my site is to start writing articles.  I will also seek other sources as far as promoting my website and signup form in order to get subscribers and eventually, sales.  

For the last couple of months, I have put my training for the Bitcoin Wealth Club on the back burner, while I waited for BWC to update their training modules.  As of today, they have updated part of their modules.  However, I am waiting for BWC to update all of their modules, so I can resume with my training for cryptocurrency trading.  I have some money in my bitcoin wallets, so I am ready to start learning how to trade and to start building my wealth.  

The last month and a half has been hell for me.  I have been literally trying to make a dollar out of fifteen cents.  I have been cooking my food to save money.  In spite of these circumstances, things are looking up as far as my financial future.  Below are the tasks I will be working on to continue my Pathway to Prosperity:

1. Continue to educate myself on learning new ways to promote my website and to increase traffic
2. Continue to promote my website through safelist advertising, increasing traffic to my Facebook page, advertising with traffic exchanges and by writing articles
3. Learn how to trade cryptocurrencies to start building my wealth, then further promote the BWC opportunity
4. Begin selling products from SFI (Strong Future International) on my website and Facebook page
5. Start promoting my math tutoring services inside and outside Wyzant
6. Save up $200 to get a Capital One secured credit card, which I will use to start selling items on eBay.

I have a lot going on, which means I will have to fit these activities into my increasing work schedule.  The thing is, once I start earning sales of $2500 or more per month, I will be able to start saving up, and ultimately move back into my own apartment.

My Basic Tips on Becoming Your Own Boss

Good afternoon blog readers:  

Do you ever sit back to wonder why some people seem to have it all, and the rest of us seem to have nothing?  If you're not:

• a professional athlete
• an Oscar winning actor
• a highly paid doctor or lawyer
• the CEO of a large corporation
• a financial guru 

....you are probably asking yourself:  "How can I get a piece of the pie?"

As Americans (or whatever country you are from), most of us fall into 1 of 3 categories:

a.  You are very happy with your life.  You are loving your lifestyle, where you are living life on your own terms.  You have a good paying job and you are very happy with what you are doing on the job.  Most likely, you are happy with your family life and relationships.  You also have money put away in the form of savings and/or investments.

b.  You are somewhat happy with your life.  Even though life isn't bad, you wish that you could be doing something more; such as taking more vacations or working that dream job, or earning more at your job.  You're able to pay your bills, but it's not easy to put money away.  In a nutshell, you are content with how you are living. 

c.  Your life is a living hell.  You're living paycheck to paycheck, and you're at a job that you totally detest.  You're constantly asking to borrow money from others, because you're not able to pay all of your bills.  

Whatever your situation may be, whether good or bad, YOU have the power to change it....TO MAKE IT BETTER!

OPP Update: June 2018

Happy June Blog Readers:

How are you?  I hoped everyone had a great May.  We are less than 30 days away from the halfway mark of 2018.  Where did the time go?

We all have our ups and downs in life.  Life can be definitely be challenging especially when we down.  Does it mean that we will stay down?  Absolutely not!   I say this because the month of June has started on a bad note for me.  

As I mentioned in my previous postings, my servicing with Staples was supposed to end at the end of the month.  Unfortunately, my servicing ended a month early.  Because of this, I am currently not producing any income.  I will receive my last deposit on the 15th.  After that deposit, I will not have any income coming in until possibly August.  Talk about being down!  

I do start training for my new position with StubHub (which is a part of Working Solutions, another company I signed up with) on June 22.  Even though I will get $250 when I complete my training, I may not get that pay until August, when I start full-time.  As of now, I am seeking another job through Upwork, in hopes of finding something that I can start right away.  We will see what happens with this situation in the coming weeks.  

Last month, I did make a purchase, which was a move I needed to make.  I bought a refurbished Dell computer with an I5 processor.  When I was applying for the eBay position through Arise, my old computer did not meet the specifications, so I had to buy it...and it's a good thing I did.  Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to work for Working Solutions, because my old computer did not meet their specifications either.  

In regards to my internet marketing efforts, I had an "up" moment, a "down" moment, and now another "up" moment:

FINALLY!!!!!  I completed my affiliate funnel (I had the time to do so because of my job status)!  My affiliate funnel contains a welcome email for my new subscribers, plus 8 additional emails that will come in successions.  Thus, I used MailChimp to create my landing page and emails....all for free!  I even used MailChimp to set up my Facebook ad, so everything was copacetic!  I just had to wait for the ad approval from Facebook.  

The next day, I found out that my MailChimp account was suspended!  Apparently, I violated their policy, which I must have overlooked.  MailChimp does not allow email campaigns that focus on making money online, which is what my campaign is all about.  Even though I was crushed, this is an easy fix.  

I already knew about AWeber, another email campaign service.  However, with AWeber, their services are not free, but I did discover that email campaigns of my caliber are accepted, so that is a good thing.  What's even better is that I can use AWeber free for 30 days before I pay my monthly fee.  Who knows?  By that time, I may have some sales (smile).  

Yesterday, I created my offer page, which I was able to place right on my personal website, which is a great thing, because directing prospects to my offer page means that I am also directing them to my website....a 1-2 punch!  On my offer page, I also changed the language, so now I'm not promoting how to make money online, but how to become your own boss, which sounds more appropriate.  

This afternoon I will be attending a 30-minute webinar on how to set up my emails with the AWeber platform.  Afterwards, I will be able to create my 9 emails (my welcome email plus the successive 8 emails).  I have already created the emails themselves, so all I will need to do is format them.  My plan is to complete my affiliate funnel tonight, then I can start directing traffic to my offer page, and to build my list.  I also plan to create an ad on Facebook.  Hopefully it will be accepted, now that I've changed the language of what I'm promoting.  

It could be a bumpy road for the next couple of months, due to the loss of income, but I'm taking matters one day at a time.  One thing that I'm optimistic about is that I may finally start earning passive internet income with my funnel.  If so, it may be the last time that I will have to apply for any job...work-from-home or otherwise!  Only time will tell.    

In the meantime, my Pathway to Prosperity continues!  I have a feeling that the second half of 2018 will be promising.  Until then, have a great day readers!

OPP Update: May 2018

Happy May Blog Readers,

I apologize for giving you my OPP update so late in the month.  However, I had a good reason.  The last few days, I was tutoring a student from Houston in Algebra II.  In less than a week, I had accumulated 7 hours of tutoring time with this student.  Most of my students tend to quit after 1 or 2 sessions, but this student was determined to learn, and I appreciate that.  

Providing tutoring lessons using the Wyzant platforms has increased my credibility, and in 2018, I have had more tutoring requests than I have had in previous years.  With this momentum, I plan to promote myself a little more, and hopefully, I can start tutoring more frequently.  All of my proceeds from tutoring will go right to my bitcoin wallet.  

In April, I found out that my Staples servicing will end.  Last month, my 15-month stint with Tan Physics came to an abrupt end.  I was told by my supervisor that Tan Physics was going in a new direction.  At the time, I thought several of the reps would be let go.  I soon discovered that I was the only casualty.  It's my speculation that since more than 99% of the Tan Physics customers are female, they wanted female reps to service them

Even though I enjoyed my time working with Tan Physics, I am not happy with the way I was dismissed.  On Wednesday, April 25, just 15 days ago, I had started my shift as usual.  One thing my supervisor did mention is that his bosses were listening on calls that day.  As I was waiting for the next call, first, I was signed out of Ring Central; then I was removed from the Skype group before receiving a call from my supervisor, letting me know that I was relieved.  For someone who showed up for work daily for 15 months, I felt that they could have showed me more respect as far as how I was relieved of my duty.  It was a hard pill to swallow, but life goes on.  I don't need them!

For now, my only main source of income is the Staples position through Arise (until the end of June).  Even though my hours have increased now that I am available all day, I will lose some income, because between Tan Physics and Staples, I was working close to 60 hours a week.  For now, my hours have been reduced to about 45 hours a week (including Sundays).

I was given a voucher through my IBO (Arise's Independent Business Owner) to sign up for another client.  I wanted to work for Barnes & Noble, but as of now, no classes are available for this client, so tomorrow, I will have to choose another client to service.  In the meantime, I will be seeking a second income for the time being, either through Upwork, or perhaps another company, Working Solutions.

Working less hours means that I now have more time to work my businesses.  I have started working on the emails that will become part of my affiliate funnel.  Once I finish creating these emails (which will be 8-10 emails), they will be a part of my email campaign, for which I plan to start promoting on Facebook.  The purpose of these emails will be to create my list, then start a business relationship with this list in hopes of receiving sales.  In addition, I will start promoting my personal website as well to get more direct sales.  

Another campaign that I will start is to refer people to Coinbase, which is a digital currency exchange.  When I refer people to Coinbase, and they buy, sell, or trade at least $100 in bitcoins, I will receive $10 in bitcoins (as well as my referral).  My plan is to refer 1500 people, and receive $10 from each, which will give me the $15k I need to move back into my own place.  Of course, I may have other sources of income that will contribute to the $15k, but 1500 referrals is still the goal.   

For right now, I have halted my training from the BWC in order to complete the emails for my affiliate funnel.  Once the emails are complete, then I will lean my focus into learning how to trade crytocurrencies (I plan to have at least $100 in my bitcoin wallet by then).  Trading crytocurrencies will help me get to the $15k I need.  

I have my work cut out for me this month, but then again, these are the things I need to do in order to enjoy financial freedom in the months ahead!  Have a great day everyone!

Bitcoins Wealth Club

As you may have read in my previous postings, I wanted to learn more about bitcoins and how to use bitcoins to make money.  In my research, I viewed 12 bitcoin opportunities. After reviewing each one, I narrowed my choice down to five, then to one.  It wasn't an easy choice, but I finally decided to join the Bitcoins Wealth Club (BWC).  

Last month, I started training with the BWC course.  There are 7 modules in my training, and so far, I've completed 3 of them.  In my training, I have learned what bitcoins are and how they work.  I have also learned several ways to start earning bitcoins, and later in my training, I will learn the specific tools needed to increase my bitcoins. 

What is Bitcoin? 

Many of you may have heard the term bitcoin among others and on the internet, but you may have no idea what it is.  

Bitcoin is a type of digital currency called a crytocurrency.  There are many types of crytocurrencies in existence today, but Bitcoins are the first and most popular crytocurrency to date.  One aspect that makes bitcoins so versatile, is that they can be exchanged between parties over the internet in an instant, and can be converted into any currency.  

The value of bitcoins has risen over time.  In early 2011, the value of one bitcoin (1BTC) was worth $1.  Today, the value of 1BTC  is over $8100, and it's rising.  It is predicted that the value of 1BTC could go as high as $20k by the end of the year, and possibly $100k by the end of the decade, so the time to purchase bitcoins is right now! 

You may be asking yourself:  "If bitcoins are a digital currency, where is it held?"  Fortunately, your bitcoins are not held in a bank, as your other assets would be.  Instead, your bitcoins are held in a wallet, which is a secure website or app.   

To add money to your wallet, you will need to register with a digital currency exchange.  I use Coinbase to convert my cash to bitcoins, then I transfer my bitcoins from Coinbase to my Blockchain wallet.  At this time I am adding $25 a month to my wallet.  Recently, I have acquired a couple of students to tutor math, so my pay from tutoring will also be added to my wallet.  

To cash out your bitcoins, you can sign up for a debit card in which you would load your dollars from your bitcoin wallet.  With the debit card, you can go to any ATM in the world to cash out, or you can shop at any store or merchant that accepts VISA.  


Once you have set up your wallet, now you are prepared to start earning bitcoins.  In my training, I will be learning the different ways that I can add bitcoins to my wallet.  One way I can earn bitcoins is to get involved with trading other crytocurrencies.  Though bitcoin is the most popular crytocurrency, it is not the only one.  There are other crytocurrencies on the market today, such as Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.  Although many of them aren't worth much, there are some crytocurrencies that may double, triple or quadruple their value in a short period of time.  If you are a smart investor, you would be able to see the trends and earn more bitcoins.  

Once I complete my training, I will begin to recruit others who are interested in learning and making money with bitcoins.  I will be seeking active players who are available to communicate on a regular basis in order to make this business relationship a successful one.  More details are on the way.

OPP Update: April 2018

Happy Spring Blog Readers,

I hoped you all had a great Easter last week. As far as the weather, some places are still feeling the pinch of winter.  Here in Delaware, it's been chilly at night, but mild during the day.  Later this week, the temperatures are going to rise in the high 50s and 60s.  

We are already 9 days into the month of April, and I am just submitting this post.   I have been a busy man the last couple of weeks, as you will read below. 

This past March, I have been training on the Bitcoins Wealth Club system, so I am learning more about Bitcoins and how to make money with the system.  At the time of this posting, I am almost halfway through the course.  Nevertheless, I will discuss more about my training in my next posting.

Last month, I have started advertising my landing page on safelists and traffic exchanges, and so far, I have one sign up to my email list.  One signup is great, but now I need to continue to advertise to get more signups.  Once I get more signups, I will complete my funnel.  

For those of you who are not familiar with a funnel, it is a system of emails sent to your email list on a timely basis.  Some of the emails will provide free content, and others will promote a product or affiliate link.  This is perhaps the best way to make at least $10k per month, every month!

As far as my customer service positions, I have been very busy as of late.  This is the peak time of the year for sales with Tan Physics.  I have been working extra hours in the last 2-3 weeks, working as early as 7 am.  Working these extra hours has exhausted me, which is why I haven't spend as much time promoting my businesses, and why I'm getting out this posting so late.  

I also found out that my servicing with Staples will be coming to an end later this year.  At the end of April, my Statement of Work expires and I hope it will get renewed for the next three months.  If so, then I'll be able to service with Staples until the end of July, the time when the servicing will end.  This all means that I will need to step up my game and promote, promote, promote my businesses, so I can make the sales and not have to look for another customer service position later.  

Every week, I would play an instant scratch game in hopes that I would get a boost in my quest for financial freedom.  However, I made the decision last month that I will stop spending $10 a week on instant scratch games, and invest that money in Facebook advertising.  I will start promoting my landing page on a small budget.  As the sales start to pour in, then I will increase my advertising budget.

I also heard that there are free ways to utilize social media to promote my services.  As I learn this methods, I will use them in my marketing strategy (as I mentioned many times before, education is the key to many great things).

Tomorrow will be the 1-year anniversary of moving to my brother's home.  Frankly, I didn't think I would still be here after one year.    However, it is an advantage at this point.  If I were to move now, I probably would put myself in the same position where I would be struggling financially, so staying here a few extra months is the best choice.  My plan is to build my businesses to a point where I can bring in at least $2500 a month, then when it's time for me to move, I won't need to spend up to 60 hours a week on the telephones.

OPP Update: March 2018

Good morning Blog Readers:

It is early morning, just a little before 7 am (at the time I'm typing this paragraph).  I had woken up to head to the gym this morning before I start work at 9 am.  However, I was thinking about my marketing efforts in February last night, and it wasn't favorable to say the least....so I decided to skip the gym today and to do my monthly OPP Update.  Normally, the plan is to do my update on the first of the month.  It's already March the 5th, so I know I needed to take care of it.  

Last month, I did accomplish a couple of things with my internet marketing business:  first of all, I finally completed my landing page, so I am now able to build my marketing list.  However, I haven't really promoted my page, so at this time, the traffic to that landing page has been nil.  The second thing I have accomplished is that I now have my bitcoin wallet.  Going forward, I will start adding funds to my wallet twice a month to build my wealth in bitcoins.  At the same time, I will continue my education with bitcoins and will learn the ways of earning bitcoins daily.  

For the month of March, I have 3 agendas:  

1. Learn different traffic methods; I'll learn those methods via ClickBank University
2. Promote my landing page using different traffic methods (safelists, social media)
3. Further my education with bitcoins

Completing the above agendas won't be easy to accomplish, but I will need to find a way.  My first obstacle is my Tan Physics position.  Now that spring is around the corner, the call volume has tripled, so the downtime is becoming fewer and fewer to work on my marketing efforts.  Even when I get a few minutes of downtime, I'm too tired to even think about reading and learning.  To help with fatigue, I am now taking a multi-vitamin daily.  I am hoping this will now keep me awake.

My second obstacle is my gym time.  I have been heading to the gym more consistently, so that could be time I can use to work on my marketing business.  I do recognize the fact that I need to be healthy in order to work, so I will need to utilize my time to work out and to work my business.  That will mean less "chill" time.

Speaking of chill time, that is my third obstacle.  Of course, spending up to 60 hours a week on the phones can tire a person out.  Thus having that time to relax is crucial.  However, I feel that I'm utilizing too much of this time to relax, when I can be working on my business. 

As I type this blog posting, I'm now thinking what I can do to make time for my 3 agendas above.  If I schedule the time ahead to learn and promote, then I can get more accomplished.  I have a spreadsheet in which I can plan my day. I need to start using it.  

Later this month, I plan to start another promotion:  recruiting new members to learn about bitcoins through the Bitcoins Wealth Club (BWC).  I will discuss that in further detail at a later posting.  

On a lighter note; last night, I was discussing with a friend which rodent/insect repellent I will purchase when I move back into another apartment.  As I discussed in my previous postings, I had mice in my apartment the last few months of living there. I want to prevent that from happening when I move to my new apartment.  My plan is to purchase a rodent/insect repellent for every room, so I will need 4.  I have 3 smaller repellents I that purchased previously which I can use in my bathroom and smaller areas.  The point is, I want to keep my next apartment free of those pests, and I'll do it at any cost.  

Thinking about this conversation with my friend last night in which I'm planning my next move to another apartment.....this should be motivation for me to get off my butt and start working my internet marketing business, so I can get the sales and save up the money to finally get another apartment.  My life in Newark was perfect, and I can hardly wait to move back there.  If I think about this on a daily business, that will get me motivated to take action!
