New Income Streams

It’s Sunday morning, and I’m sitting here multitasking.  I’m online waiting for sale calls.  So far, I’ve sold a bottle of the True ColorSunless Tanner, so I’m happy.  At the same time, I’m watching the Roger Federer/Rafael Nadal championship match at the Australian Open that I taped last night….and now I’m writing my next blog.  I’m a little bummed this morning, because I was not able to drive for Uber last night.  My cellphone service has been suspended for few days, and I thought I could use Wi-Fi with my Uber Partner app.  However, being away from home, it didn’t work.  Fortunately, I’ll be able to pay my cellphone bill when I get my first pay from my part-time customer service job.  Slowly but surely I should be able to crawl out of this financial hole I’m in.

Last October, while I was searching for work-from-home jobs, I stumbled upon this website.  I suppose it was appropriate for them to place their ad in the work-from-home section of the job postings.  The thing with this is…the advertisers wanted the readers to believe that it’s actually a job.  In reality, it’s more of a business opportunity…something that you’re going to have to come out of your pocket to pay for.  Because I was a little desperate at the time to find something, I paid almost $100 for the information.  The thing is, the sales page made it seem easy for a person to make money with their opportunity (just like most opportunities suggest).  After you are enticed to pay, then you’ll soon realize that it’s not as easy as it is suggested on their sales page.  However, the information that they provided was very useful.  Because of it, I will eventually create 3 income streams with it.

The first opportunity is with eBay.  The site gives you strategies on how to make money selling on eBay without having an inventory.  As soon as I get my credit card, I will be partaking of this opportunity.

The second opportunity is with ClickBank.  Using this tool, I can earn a stream of income by promoting affiliate links of programs and opportunities that I choose to promote.  ClickBank also has a learning tool called ClickBank University.  I will be purchasing this program to give me pointers on how I can promote my affiliate links effectively.  I’ve heard that one can make a nice monthly income with this.

The third opportunity is one I have not taken advantage of yet, but soon will be.  The opportunity is with Amazon, where I can use my personal website to sell their products.  This can create a nice income for me as well.

In addition to the above opportunities, I also have an opportunity to earn with Uber by referring others to drive.  Uber pays up to $200 for every person you refer.  Presently, I am promoting this, and soon I will be reaping what I sow.

In my next posting, I will discuss something that you as an internet marketer should use to increase your earnings:  EDUCATION.

Have a good day!

Bumps In The Road

Life has its share of ups and downs.  When you think things are going well for you, there’s something that knocks you off your pedestal.  The question is….are you going to stay down, or are you going to get back up and fight?  For me, since my last posting on August 18, I have experienced bumps in the road on the Pathway to Prosperity.  Fortunately for me, I’m a strong-minded person, and I can overcome these obstacles.  Where shall I begin?

My first bump on the road is that my tutoring business, Math Made Easy Tutoring never took off as a full-time business.  Despite my efforts to locate clients, I was not able to find them.  I did however tutor this one student that I found as a lead through Wyzant, but because Wyzant takes off a portion for their fees, I only got paid $9 an hour for the two sessions, when I normally charge $35 an hour.  In another posting, I will fully explain the state of the tutoring business.

Because the tutoring business didn’t work out, I needed to find a replacement income before my savings run out in October.  My choice was to either go back to the 9-to-5, thus going backwards in my quest for prosperity, or to find a suitable work-from-home position.  Because of my resources, I was able to find a few work-from-home jobs, plus discover a few new business opportunities, which I will fully discuss in another posting.

In late October, I began working for this company called Sitel, which hires work-from-home agents to provide customer service (outsourcing) to major companies.  I was assigned to the Starbucks campaign, which would have been fun as well as a new experience for me.  However, I left right after training because I was only getting paid $9 an hour, and that was not enough for me to pay my bills.

When I was searching for work-from-home opportunities, I stumbled upon a company called Uber.  The funny thing is…I have an Uber app on my cellphone, but I never paid attention to it as far as what it’s all about; thus I never heard of it.  When I learned about it, I was skeptical about using my car (putting wear and tear on it) to pick up people who need rides.  When I found out about its earning potential, I jumped on board in November.  After leaving Sitel, Uber became my full-time hustle.  There are advantages and disadvantages of becoming an Uber Partner, which I will discuss in another posting.  Nonetheless, it didn’t work out for me as far as a full-time income, so I had to find another work from home position.

I was able to locate work-from-home companies through Craigslist and Indeed, but I found this company, NexRep, using the Google search, work from home agent.  Unlike Sitel, where I was an employee, my position at NexRep is as an independent agent, which means I’m my own boss.  One thing that I discovered as far as pay, most of these companies pay around $10 an hour, which is about half of what I was making at JP Morgan Chase.  Nonetheless, the NexRep position is a work-from-home agent position, which provides customer service for this race track set called MagicTracks; this is now my full-time hustle, which I started on the day after Christmas.

A couple of weeks ago, I landed yet another customer service/sales position with this company that sells tanning lotions.  I do this part-time (evenings and weekends).  Earlier this week, NexRep presented me an opportunity to work weekends on another project.  YIPPEE!!!  I finally have income!

I now have 3 income sources; two of which I can make right from my home office.  With the two customer service positions, I can make $600+ per week, and make additional income with Uber.  The good news with that is; now I’m able to use the time in between calls to promote my other ventures, which I will discuss in my next posting.

At this time, my bills are behind, including my rent.  However, I am optimistic about bringing my bills up to date, then build up my bank accounts.

In conclusion, yes, I have run into a few bumps, but it’s these times that we use our minds (and God’s help) to overcome these obstacles and continue to the PATHWAY TO PROSPERITY!
